About the Artist

Carolina Diez is a self-taught multimedia visual artist whose work centers on fine, deliberate line work expressed across drawing, painting, and digital mediums. Born and raised in Boston to Colombian parents, she now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she continues to expand her artistic practice.

Her creative journey began at a young age through art classes, summer studio time, and independently creating and selling her work. Over time, her curiosity and love of art led her to work across a wide range of mediums, including ceramics, crochet, photography, string art, and other tactile and visual forms. This exploration has shaped a versatile approach to creating, grounded in both experimentation and discipline.

Today, Carolina is best known for her single continuous line technique. What began as simple classroom doodles, where repetitive lines became a way to focus and stay present, has evolved into a distinctive visual language rooted in rhythm and patience. Using this approach, she creates recognizable imagery such as landscapes, portraits, states, and symbolic forms. Through minimal marks and intentional repetition, she transforms simplicity into layered visual experiences that invite closer attention. Her process is deeply meditative, encouraging viewers to slow down, look closely, and find something personal within the work.

As her practice continues to grow, she is expanding into large-scale work, exploring murals that extend beyond her line-based technique while still carrying its sense of rhythm and intention. Her work seeks to engage public spaces and offer immersive, reflective experiences to a broader audience.
